ECOSF loves volunteers and depends on them greatly to energize our projects and get things done, and sometimes people are looking for something even more challenging, more rewarding and deeper in scope, which is why we developed our internship programs.
We offer a wide range of opportunities to pitch in and join the work we are doing in ecological education, urban farming and natural building. Interns work closely with ECOSF staff, mostly at the School Farm with some special projects and events at other locations, and together we customize the experience to fit individual interests and learning goals.
As a reference, here are two examples of past internship programs: (note: we are not currently offering these specific programs, and the new contact is Sam Hartman 415.565.9576
) Edible Ecology Education program and the Schoolyard Adobe Project,. Past interns have been artists, activists, and environmentalists from University of San Francisco, San Francisco State University, and city college and also enthusiastic community members that were looking to learn, share, and contribute to the cause with their time and energy.
